The 60th Anniversary of the Society of Professional Investigators

September 22, 2016

Since the mid-fifties, the Society of Professional Investigators (SPI) has been a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the professionalism of the investigative, legal, accounting and forensic science communities. Our membership consists of active and retired law enforcement, private investigators and security professionals.

2016 marks the 60th Anniversary of SPI. Our gala dinner event is planned for September 22, 2016, at Giando on the Water, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This year we are proud to announce that the SPI Distinguished Career Award will be presented to Dr. Jeremy Travis, the President of John Jay College and the Person of the Year award to NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor, Bridget Brennan.

Past honorees include: New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman; NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce; NYPD Commissioner William Bratton, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch; former Eastern District of New York, Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff; former US Attorney General Michael Mukasey. We also traditionally honor wounded warriors who served in an investigative capacity in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

All dinner seat purchases must be in by Friday, September 16th
